Comedian Eddie Butita Quits His TV Job

Popular comedian Eddie Butita has announced his exit from NTV after 5 years of being a panelist on the Trend show.

Butita broke the news to his fans after he marked his last appearance on the show on Friday 18th September.

“It has been 5 years of a good ride on the trend #TTTT it all started with just a one appearance and became a permanent job.” he wrote on his post

NTV Kenya on Twitter: "People have taken this thing (Alcoblow) for a joke.  Have you ever seen someone who is clearly drunk, and you wonder how will  this person get home? -

The media personality also thanked the Trend show host Amina Abdi as well as his collegues for the great moments they shared and their team work that enabled them to offer their fans the best of entertainment through their show.

” I would like to thank @aminaabdirabar and the panelist team for being more than collegues our time together was worth it I learnt laughed and changed A lot that I was able to.” he stated

According to Butita, his exit will serve as an opportunity for other upcoming personalities who would wish to take up such roles.

Butita who rose to fame after gracing the Churchill show stage, also gave credit to BBC Journalist Larry Madowo for making it possible for him to thrive in the screen job.

Butita believes that it was indeed a privilege to be part of the NTV team as he thanked his fans for their undying support.

In regard to his new venture, Butita hinted on plans to focus on his Comedy career which has always been his passion.
