Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol have started 2020 on a high note after signing a record deal with the biggest music stable in the world.
Taking to social media, the Sura Yako hitmakers revealed that they had reached an agreement with Universal Music Group (UMG) to produce their songs, adding that fans should look out for their new album.
While the details of the deal are still scanty, their fans couldn’t not hide their joy when they broke the good news on social media.
Universal Music Group has propelled the careers of some of the biggest artists in America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Some of the big names who are signed to the stable are; Ariana Grande, Chris Brown, Cardi B, Drake, Future, Eminem, Justin Beiber, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Rihanna, Tayor Swift, the list is endless.
With this development, winning a BET or a Grammy award now seems like a walk in the park for Sauti Sol since they will now have access to UMG’s infrastructure and distribution tools.
