Comedian Vincent Muasya, alias Chipukeezy, has set the stage for a bitter rivalry with Daniel Ndambuki after announcing that he’ll be launching a show that has the same format as Churchill Show.
Taking to Instagram, the funny man disclosed that his show dubbed Chipukeezy Comedy Club would feature young and upcoming comics.
He went on to explain that the initiative was meant to boost the industry as well as give a platform to new talent.
“I am more than excited to announce that, as Chipukeezy, I’m making a big play for the comedy industry in Kenya by making a broad new partnership creating a platform to showcase live stand-up performances.
“We are taking things to the next new level by launching Chipukeezy Comedy Club and there’ll be a paywall for every performer at the comedy club. I believe that launching this venture together now puts us ahead of the pack,” he wrote.
Auditions for the show will happen on Mondays at the Kenya National Theatre and the successful comedians participants will be be given a chance to showcase their talent to fans every Thursday at Capital Centre.
Interestingly, the live recording of Churchill Show also happens on Thursdays from 7pm to 10pm and this can only mean that Chipukeezy is ready to give the legendary comedian a run for his money.
