Death is cruel. It leaves a heartache no one can heal the love shared leaves a memory no one can steal.
A video of popular singer Kidum singing his heart out to the late Tru Blaq CEO Kevin Ombajo aka Big Kev has touched many online.
The video doing rounds on social media has given an insight into the struggle and anguish that the late Big Kev went through as he battled cancer.
In the video that was posted by Kidum five months ago when he visited Big Kev at the Nairobi hospital, the singer strums his guitar and sings to Kev as he lays in bed.
Kidum revealed that Big Kev had requested that he sings him Nipe Nguvu which he sang with tears flowing freely.
“@Big Kev on his bed in Nairobi hospital told his family members that he would want to meet me before he is taken to a surgery!
First was Bruce Odhiambo who told me about a concert in carnivore about raising the funds for our friend Big Kev on this Friday but today Thursday everyone was calling me about the message Big Kev wanted to give me on his hospital bed.
I couldn’t hold my tears after he spoke to me. God has spoken to me through him. He requested this song Nipe Nguvu,” wrote Kidum five months ago.
The entertainment industry bigwig succumbed to brain cancer on Saturday night while undergoing treatment at the Nairobi Hospital.
