Hull City FC Coaching duo of Kris Blakestone and Richard Naylor who are currently in the country to scout local football talents courtesy of SportPesa, correctly predicted the Tusker win over the weekend. Speaking in a radio interview prior to the Saturday game in Afraha Stadium ,Nakuru where Tusker trashed AFC Leopards to emerge Kenya Premier League Champions, the two Hull City coaches gave similar predictions in favor of Tusker.
Richard and Kris got the chance to witness their predictions as they attended the match at Afraha Stadium where they also mingled with football players and fans. The coaches were thrilled by Tusker’s Game and had some good words to write home about Kenya’s football standards in general.
‘’It was thrilling for us to witness the title being decided by a second half goal after AFC had held their own playing good football for the better part of the game .It is evident that Kenyan teams put in a lot of work and we are excited at the level of football we have witnessed so far.’’ Richard Naylor, Head Professional Development Coach said moments after the game.
The coaches early today attended training session at Afraha Stadium where they trained with the Ulinzi Stars and shared notes with the technical team. They will later be attending training sessions at KK Homeboyz FC ,Western Stima ,Chemilil Sugar ,Muhoroni Youth and Sony Sugar as they continue with their scouting mission that intends to select a Kenyan team dubbed ‘’SportPesa All Stars’’ to face Hull City in the UK early next year ,followed by a return leg in Kenya thereafter.
