Health CS Cleopa Mailu has ordered immediate closure of Jacaranda and San Valencia hotels following the cholera outbreak in Nairobi.
The two hotels located in Nairobi are said to have offered catering services at events where participants were later hospitalised after developing cholera-related symptoms.
Mailu also ordered all food handlers re-tested and re-certified.
Some 101 patients are admitted at KNH while four have died.
Sixty seven cases were confirmed and six treatment centers established.
On Tuesday, the Health ministry canceled the medical certificates of all food handlers to contain the cholera outbreak that has hit Nairobi.
Medical services director Jackson Kioko on Monday directed all county health departments to conduct fresh medical examinations before issuing any other certificates.
The CS further said 12 counties have been affected by the outbreak with Nairobi and Garissa being the worst hit.
He said all water bowsers and vendors would be inspected and water sources checked to prevent the spread of cholera.
The CS was speaking after visiting cholera patients at KNH. He was accompanied by Health Principal Secretary Julius Korir and the Director of Medical Services Jackson Kioko.
