Disturbing rumors that veteran journalist Leonard Mambo Mbotela had breathed his last left many startled on Saturday morning.
According to some Twitter users, Mbotela, known for his “Je Huu Ni Ungwana” show, passed away in a grisly road accident.
The news of his death caught many by surprise coming at a time when the country has lost four prominent people in a fortnight.
Apparently, nothing could be further from the truth as the popular radio presenter is alive and kicking.
Those who broke the news of social media have since apologized for the gaffe and acknowledged that their sources were wrong.
