Legendary soccer star Joe Kadenge has sent out his last wish to President Uhuru Kenyatta from his hospital bed.The football Icon who is one of the most extraordinary players in the history of Kenyan football has been in and out of hospital over the past few years battling several ailments. Kenyans, led by famous personalities like Carol Radul, Elias Makori and FKF boss Sam Nyamweya have managed to raise around Ksh 500,000,money aimed at settling the ailing soccer star’s medical bills and upkeep, with a major fund drive to aid the same set for Friday, this week in Nairobi.
In a video that has already gone viral on social media, Joe Kadenge sent an emotional statement to Uhuru Kenyatta .In part, Kadenge wishes President Uhuru Kenyatta well and asked him to steer the country to success. He goes ahead to ask the president to meet him before he dies.
‘’There are people in the Government that I would like to meet. First and foremost, President Uhuru Kenyatta. I would like to meet you before I die. It seems my body doesn’t like me anymore. I would also like to meet the retired Presidents too. You remember the old men.’’ Kadenge said.
‘’I would like to say goodbye to them so that if God calls me today, I will have an opportunity to say goodbye to them.’’He added.
