Kenyans have been wondering where Deputy President William Ruto has been to help his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta who was dealing with the Millie Odhiambo storm alone. While the drama unfolded in parliament, Ruto ,his close friends and family were busy celebrating the DP’s jubilee years. Ruto, who is also known as the ‘Hustler’ turned 50 yesterday and the milestone called for a little celebration at an undisclosed location.
The Deputy President, on Wednesday December 21 celebrated turning 50 in a private but colorful ceremony held somewhere in the city. In attendance were his friends, family and other senior figures like Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and former Embakasi MP Ferdinand Waititu. The birthday boy dropped his usual suits and went for a cheerful multi-colored shirt and seemed to really enjoy his bash which was held inside a humongous tent. Ruto was all smiles as he ushered his birthday cake to his prominent guests.
Ruto may have forgotten about his Friend Uhuru, but the country’s number one did not forget about him as he celebrated his special day. The president, trough his Facebook account wished Ruto a happy 50th birthday with a sweet, nicely crafted post.
‘’Join me in wishing my brother, friend and able Deputy a happy 50th Birthday. May you ever remain ‘strong in will to strive to seek, to find and not to yield’ God’s blessings always!.’’Kenyatta posted.
