Nyandarua County Governor Unveils County’s KSH 2 MILLION Plastic Xmas Tree

County governments have been on the receiving end following their dubious spending on irrelevant but super expensive things. Most of them have been blowing public funds on projects that have ended up being of benefit to county officials who pocket large sums of money. Nyandarua County government became the latest point of reference after its governor, Mr Daniel Waithaka unveiled a less than impressive Christmas tree, believed to have cost taxpayers a whooping Ksh.2 million.

The unveiling of the super expensive Xmass tree happened yesterday in a lighting ceremony that was attended by quite a handful of Nyandarua residents. Governor Daniel Waithaka oversaw the celebrations outside the offices of area Assistant Commissioner in Olkalou Town. In their Christmas spirit, the County government had planned to lighten up the county by pulling one of the most expensive PR stunts.

Kenyans on social media could not let a trolling moment pass them, as they took to condemning the spending. Most of them accused the County government of duping Wanachi with a cheap plastic Xmass tree and ugly carpets said to have cost Ksh 2 million.
