Mercy Juma Leaves NTV For BBC After Inaugural Michael Elliot Award


Former NTV journalist Mercy Juma was recently recognized for her hard work one of a kind media stories by the International center for Journalists. She was named winner of the Inaugural Michael Elliot Award for excellence in African Storytelling last week.

Mercy who has been working at NTV as a health and science reporter covered a story about the pregnant young girls of Kwale county who were being forced to use contraceptives by their families to avoid early pregnancies.

The journalist has since left the Nation Media Group for BBC Africa as a broadcast journalist joining her former NTV colleague Brenda Wambani.
