On April 1st 2017 the country woke up to sad news of the death of former NTV presenter Janet Ikua who had been battling cancer for sometime. Janet Ikua was a sweat heart to many including those who had never met her in person. The mother of two was such an inspiration to many and at one point Kenyans came together to hold a fundraising concert for her cancer treatment.
George Ikua her husband was left a widower at a young age with two small babies to take care of. With his wife gone he had to take the role of both mom and dad and be strong for his children. Recently George for the first time opened up after she was laid to rest on a a Facebook post dedicated to the late Janet.
“From Pedro, Jaz and I we miss you dearly… A heart that’s broke is a heart that’s been loved…. thank you for your love hope you still dancing” he wrote. Janet sure left a huge gap not only in her family but the country, continue to dance with the angel Kanini.
