Tonya Ahenda is the winner of the Kenya Airtel Trace music star and will represent Kenya on June 11 at the continental finals to be held in Lagos, Nigeria.
Ahenda, an accountant by profession, Impressed the panel of judges and is promising to improve even more now that the judges are helping her out.
“I would like to thank God for the gift and talent he’s given me without him I wouldn’t be here,” said Ahenda after she won the competition which started on Feb. 1 2016 and is now on it’s second season.
“Thank you TRACE and Airtel for the platform and opportunity, thank you judges for your time and input, to the contestants I wouldn’t have chosen a better team than this. My coaches ATEMI and WYRE have also offered to give me free lessons as I prepare for the Pan-African finale in Lagos”. She informed her fans.
She emerged winner after performing “Falling” by American star Alicia Keys taking home a cash prize of Sh 1.5 Million and a chance to represent Kenya at the grand finale to be held in Lagos
Nigeria, where she will go head-to-head with 9 other contestants from across Africa to win the coveted Ariel TRACE Music Star 2016 prize.
