Kenya’s modeling industry has been under siege for a while with perpetrators and victims keeping the ills firmly under wraps. Unfortunately steam locked in always leads to cracks then the obvious explosion.
Celebrated model turned industry critic Amal Abdul has broken the ice on how corruption won the day in the recently concluded Miss World Kenya pageant.
The newly-crowned Miss World Kenya who is a presenter on KTN’s Life and Style morning show and was Miss India Worldwide Kenya 2016/2017 apparently doesn’t even have the requisite height to win.
It’s emerged that for the previous titles she’d won, she also bought them including Miss Attitude and Miss India Kenya.
An anonymous message to Ms Abdul had the details.
It’s sad to see that money keeps winning even when more deserving candidates are available.
An infuriated Abdul had this to say.
Miss Kenya 2018 is an Indian girl who BTW I hear she was never there for trainings and what not like the other girls. I have been saying the industry is just fucked up but this is too much. If you know your winner then go ahead and crown her. Don't waste these girls time.
