Taking up entirely what was formerly Nakumatt City Hall, Charlie’s Bistro is really living up to its owner’s “Mungu Halali mantra. The restaurant owned by Doctor cum business man one Muriithi Muhoro, saw it’s pioneer branch brought down in the demolitions that rocked the city a few weeks ago.
At a massive 17,000 Square feet, Charlie’s Bistro has taken up three floors at the prime St Ellis House on Wabera Street in the central business district (CBD). This effectively renders it the largest stand alone restaurant in the region.
Joining a string of eateries in that neighborhood including several Javas and the recently opened Ugandan owned Cafe Javas, revelers are spoiled for choice but going by the rave reviews the previous branch had, Java and CJ’s have a genuine reason to be concerned.
The previous establishment had cost an astounding 42 Million shillings to set up one can only speculate on just how much this one cost.
