Artists have a behavior of releasing songs and going silent when the song becomes a hit. It is usually hard for such artists to make a comeback in the music scene because things are usually different by then. In Kenya, we have seen artists like, Jimw@t, Mr Lenny and others who made hit songs back in the day but later went silent. The artists tried to make a comeback but failed to get back to where they were initially.
We all know of Dancehall artist Proff. The guy used to be a dancer at Florida 2000 before he became singer Redsan’s backup singer and later decided to launch his own career. He released major hits including Niambie, Kidogo, Data among many more. The songs are still loved and played on Kenyan stations today though Proff has been on a hiatus for quite sometime now. He is back with a jam dubbed Kati Yetu. The dancehall artist is now a recording artist at Fast Cash music Kenya.
Kati Yetu is his latest single written by himself and produced by Gabzo. It was unleashed on Saturday by Fast Cash Music Group. The dancehall star had this to say about the song.
“Kati Yetu is not your usual love song.Other than describing the first stages of a relationship where everything is butterflies and roses,it highlights the importance of mutual trust in a relationship between two people who have been in love for a long time.“
